I don’t even know, y’all. Everything I read this month was so personal or weird so here’s my best attempt besides Women, Race, & Class by Angela Y. Davis. Everyone should read that.
April 2021, and I'm gonna talk about abortion
I say “abortion is healthcare” a lot but that’s because abortion is healthcare. The clinic was nice, they prepped me well, they gave me drugs, the procedure took no time at all but was still very expensive — sounds like healthcare in America to me!
July 2020, a series of rapid question marks
Hmm, I'd recommend quite a bit this month. The Lost Girls of Camp Forevermore, Followers, There, There, and Party of Two, which is actually a greater recommendation for all of Guillory's books. And honestly if you haven't read Their Eyes Were Watching God in your whole life, prioritize that.
January 2020, a very long month
What I Recommend I liked all of these, but what I would say you must read is Her Body and Other Stories, Shrill, and Americanized.
